Pintrest is a fun place to find new ideas. While surfing one day I found easy instructions for making a Cousin It Halloween prop. I had to keep Cousin it locked away in a closet for Halloween until he made an appearance with the Jackson Hole Community Band at their annual Concert for the Kids.

Turkey and mashed potatoes go together like peas and carrots. When I roast a turkey I slow cook the potatoes and use the flavorful broth the potatoes were cooked in to make the gravy. Over the years I’ve read many techniques and recipes on how to cook a turkey. Taking the best parts of those

crust·y un·der·toad /ˈkrəstē/ˈəndər/tōd/ Noun The frozen layer buried under just enough fresh snow to make you think it’s safe to make a turn. I can’t believe this is being erased from the internet! The remains of a local inventor went missing last June. On the day of his disappearance his VW Bug was found at the trail head with his journal on the seat.
After watching Live at the Met’s presentation of the Die Walküre in summer 2011, I was inspired for my next costume. The skirt from the Gray Lady costume I made the prior year would work perfectly and I spent the summer/fall going through my closets, jewelry boxes, craft supplies, and shopped yard sales and second hand stores for things that I could re-purpose for the costume.
Once charmed by raccoons, our backyard became the Wild West with ‘Lil Bastard’ as the outlaw. After our lab passed, these masked marauders invaded, turning our deck into a midnight snack bar and outsmarting my amateur Wyoming Mountain Man traps. Despite PB&Js and marshmallow treats, it took cage relocation and one noisy 4 am capture to finally earn my trapping badge. Lil’ Bastard’s forest relocation ended our backyard critter capers… for now.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so in 2010, when the Jackson Hole Community Band planned their 1st Annual Halloween Concert for the Kids, I started planning my costume right away. I found this costume at my favorite Halloween shop, grandinroad.com, but did not want a purchased costume, I prefer to make my own.

It’s almost time for Binx, Jinx, and Bad Belinda to emerge from their keeping place for another Christmas. Now that the world knows all about Santa’s little helpers they should enjoy a bit more freedom, I wonder what adventures they will have, and what mischief Bad Belinda will get them into.
If only I had a video camera rolling… I could have won some bucks on one of those home video shows.
Yesterday I had to bring my cat Tigger to the vet for an infected tooth, I pulled his crate from the basement fully expecting him to hiss and run. He didn’t see me. (TG!) I propped the crate upright on a kitchen chair with the door facing up and the table holding the crate in
