Labor day has passed, the first snow has fallen, and it seems as if it was Memorial day just yesterday! Where did my summer go? This is the time of year where I start getting emails from friends asking... "are you alive?" Well, I'm alive and kickin' For all my friends who I have not emailed in months here is a brief synopsis of my summer....

[deep breath] In April my husband and I took a 15 mile bike ride in Grand Teton National park,in May the JHCB (Jackson Hole Community Band) had our spring concert, then we performed at the Elk Fest, which my husband is very involved in through Scout Troop 268. Then the JHCB performed in the Old West Days Parade on Memorial Day Weekend, then in June Damon and Kyle were gone for two weeks in the Bahamas and Florida Keys for the Sea Base High Adventure Camp with one other leader and 3 other scouts, my house stayed clean those two weeks partially because I cleaned it then was not home long enough to mess it up, I went on a mule ride after work one day, joined Bravo & bought one $10 raffle ticket the same night and won tickets for two to the Wine Auction events worth $1,650.00 (I get some real fancy junk mail now,) my Mom came for a visit so I took her to the events, July 4th the JHCB performed at the parade, did a concert on the town square and performed at Music in the Hole (yes, all on the same day) we watched the fire work show from our front yard as usual, the JHCB quit rehearsing until September 4th but we had a purge party (but it did not get the whole job done,).... deap breath!

I entered 8 photos in the Teton County Fair, I went to 14 concerts at the Grand Teton Music Festival in July and August, I auditioned for a truck commercial (but did not get that job,) I went to the Pow-Wowwith Vicki at the beginning of August, Damon and I spent the weekend in Idaho Falls for out 19th anniversary, I went to an allergist in Idaho (BTW I’m severly to everything,) the JHCB had another purge party, Damon took Kyle to a Sheriffs Auction and they bought Kyle a car, Damon and I went to Yellowstone for a bike ride (and had a breakfast he won in GTNP,) we went to the Hoback Fireman’s Picnic fundraiser, we rode our bikes to Teton Village and purchaced my ski pass, Labor Day Weekend I went for a 27 mile bike ride Saturday, Kyle drove me to Pinedale for a visit with a good friend Sunday. All this while working full time, doing sit ups every morning, and riding my bike to work almost every day and long rides on weekends when possible (putting a total of 427 miles on my bicycle since April 27th.) Oops, forgot about all the farmers markets and all the artsy fartsy Jackson Hole stuff I went to .

JHCB rehearsal starts tonight and we have two performances on September 13th, one at Old Bills Fun Run (my husband works hard with the scouts that day also,) and then the other at River Rock Lodge (an assisted living center.) The Fall Arts Festival is also nest week and I will be going to the Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk the 12th and Taste of the Tetons the 14th.
