I haven’t heard from you since my last 2 letters. You probable haven’t recovered from the shock. As soon as you get your breath I will be looking for an answer.
It was 1980, I was 18 years old, and I had just spent my first summer in Jackson Hole. In late August or early September my X got a job as a working cowboy on a ranch in the ghost town of Lida, Nevada. So we packed everything we owned into our station wagon.
Sam’s Birthday is September 15 that will be the code for the date we will arrive in San Diego or any name stating date so you understand what date we will arrive back.
I envision a group of 10 friends meeting up for breakfast on a Saturday morning at their favorite coffee joint. Over coffee, draw for their cards and divide into teams of two. Decide on what time the game is over and a place to meet and compare Bingo to declare the winners. Then all take off in teams, one team per car. Each team would get a win for the most Bingos (ugliest taxidermy bonus is the tie-breaker), and individual wins would be decided by each player by awarding their trinket to who they think won. Everyone would pitch in to buy the winning team lunch or a drink.
Gee jack I wish I had more time off while you are out here, so I could be with you more.
Last summer while at the local Peoples Market, I visited a booth that sold bitters made locally, Bear Root Bitters. I have several of their varieties but the Habanero Ginger is my favorite and I wanted to find a cocktail to fit it into.
Even though Halloween is in the fall, spring is the best time to start planning. Plenty of time to shop thrift stores and garage sale for appropriate items, and I can work on the crafty stuff while glamping.
This is a super easy and tasty recipe! The addition of pork tames the flavor of the antelope.
January 20th is National Potluck Day. Whenever I bring this to a pot luck, not only does the roast get picked clean the veggies left at the bottom (if any) usually go home with someone instead of in the garbage. I’ve been making this roast for many years for band pot lucks and have been

November, 1940, as we came up from the south to New York on a Standard Oil tanker, I was called by the Navy for active duty. The Navy dispatched me to the U.S.S. Santee at Baltimore as a Commissioned Officer. The U.S.S. Santee at that time was on oil tanker rigged for fueling ships at sea.
I use roasted peppers in many of my recipes. These are simple instructions to roast your pepper on a gas stove top. If you have an electric stove get your grill super hot.
I played the flute from 5th grade until I graduated from High School, then played in the Bishop California Community Band a couple times right out of high school. I moved to Jackson for a summer in 1980 and stayed, life, work, family, children, and Jackson Hole activities filling my life and my flute collecting

My very first performance with the Azusa Aztec Marching Band was marching onto the field of Angel Stadium in Anaheim to open a Dodger game with the Star Spangled Banner. I was hooked!
I try to keep my blogs around 600 words. I don’t want to lose my readers. Holy cow! Before I knew it I was over 1700 words & still had not gotten to my point.
First we need to talk about piles. Most of us have one, if not our own, it’s our loved ones. My husband’s pile is around his chair. I could probably write a whole blog about men and their chairs, but that’s another story. Over the last 29 years I have tried many things to make

Dear Mae, Read your letter this morning, sure was glad to hear from you. I am having a good time but not as good as I had last year. Of course I didn’t expect to, it is entirely different, but it will be cheaper.
When I started working on my family tree one of the favorite documents I was given was in a file my mom had. Apparently (I don’t exactly remember) my brother or myself had a family tree assignment and both sides of the family wrote some information down for the tree. The story of how my

When ever chatting with friends and family about outdoor activities, and the subject of spelunking and exploring caves came up, I always said that’s not for me. I’m not all that claustrophobic but the idea of squeezing my body through a tight space in a dark cave gives me the eebie-jeebies. What if I get

When I started planning my pirate costume, I knew I wanted a unique pirate hat to bring it together. For ideas I browsed Pintrest to find that swashbuckling look I wanted. Visit my blog for instructions to make a hat like this.
Living on ranches in my early 20’s taught me a lot about life, it was quite the education. Since then I never looked at a piece of beef, or a gallon of milk the same again. One of the most valuable pieces of advice I was handed is one I use to this day.
